For ages now, I’ve had an annoying problem with my ABS.  I’ve still not fixed it but have found the cause and now need to find a new part.

 

Through intense use of Google, I found a book and various websites that had all of the electrical specifications for the inputs and outputs of the Teves Mk2 system.  Armed with these and my £4.99 multimeter, I set to work.

Technology may have moved on since 1997, but Lo Wang and his quips are second-to-none - the title of this article comes from him hearing something dripping or filling with water, shortly followed by him saying to himself "Hmmm....something flooding, or dinosaur taking piss..."  Hilarious and top marks to 3d Realms.

 

That explains the title of the article, but doesn't explain what I'm talking about.   Fortunately I'm not talking about a coolant or oil leak, but a leak none-the-less.  The last time the petrol tank was leaking it was down to corrosion eating away at the tank's union for the pump's hose.  Read on...

Up at the crack of dawn (yes, 8 in the morning IS the crack of dawn for me!) for a trip that proved to be more informative than anything else.

The aim was for at least 250BHP - the closer to 270 the better, though!  Unfortunately, it didn't quite turn out that way...

Some things I haven't done either because I can't be bothered, or more likely, because I don't have the tools or a suitable place to do it!  Mostly major mechanical work, but touch wood, there aren't too many items on this page at the minute!

 

I love tinkering with it, and would love to learn how to take it apart and put it back together.
